Sales & Event Director
Position Overview
Stage 8 Dance Brands is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven, and results-oriented Sales & Event Director to help drive the growth and success of our events and industry partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who understands the dance industry, enjoys building meaningful connections, and thrives in a sales-focused environment.
The primary focus of this position will be sales, account management, and business development, while also supporting registration efforts and event execution. We are looking for someone who is passionate about serving dance programs, identifying growth opportunities, and helping Stage 8 Dance Brands expand its reach and impact throughout the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with dance studios, teams, coaches, and program directors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for programs throughout the sales and event participation process.
- Promote and sell Stage 8 Dance Brands events and experiences.
- Promote and sell MotUS Memberships and related products and services.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase participation and revenue.
- Conduct outreach through phone calls, email, virtual meetings, and in-person visits as appropriate.
- Track sales activity, customer interactions, and growth opportunities using company systems and processes.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives.
- Attend weekly team meetings and regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings.
- Represent Stage 8 Dance Brands professionally and positively within the dance industry.
Registration & Event Support
- Work closely with the registration team to support event enrollment and participation goals.
- Monitor and track team commitments to ensure registration expectations are met.
- Assist with participant communication throughout the registration process.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for event upgrades, add-on sales, and upselling initiatives.
- Support event operations and attendee experience efforts.
Team & Organizational Support
- Assist with special projects and organizational initiatives as needed.
- Support team members and departments when additional assistance is required.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve processes, customer experience, and event growth.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, customer success, event management, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of the dance industry strongly preferred.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and goal-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable making outbound sales calls and conducting customer outreach.
- Experience with CRM systems, sales tracking tools, or event registration platforms is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel for events, meetings, and industry activities as needed.

Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and performance.
Salary, insurance stipend, and 401K benefits after 1 year of employment
